Overview
The main elements of the scheme include:
• Widening of the A66 Eastbound to provide a fourth lane between the slip road from the A19 and the Newport roundabout exit
• Increased signal control and widening of circulatory carriageway and realigned eastbound slip at Newport roundabout
• New road link between Newport roundabout and Riverside Park
• Widening of A66 Westbound to provide fourth lane between Newport roundabout slip road and A19 exit
