Iron Masters way (link road) now open to the public - Please take care whilst motorists adapt to the new road layouts at Newport Roundabout and Riverside Park Road.

A66 W/B Bridge Parapet repair works (Lane 1 closure from 18/01/10 4.00am)

Traffic management will need to be installed on Newport flyover to remove and replace the existing bridge parapet on the westbound carriageway. To ensure the safety of our workforce and the public, Lane 1 will need to be closed. The road layout will therefore revert back to the original layout; hence Lane 1 will be a designated lane to Newport Roundabout only and the A66 will be back to two lanes running. Concrete barriers will need to be placed to segregate our works and protect the live traffic when the existing parapet is removed. The works require a 30mph speed limit for the safety of our workforce and are expected to be complete by mid February.

A66 E/B on slip from Newport Roundabout

On slip speed restrictions removed, cones in place until final surfacing and lining works are complete. Slip will need to be closed to carry out works, date TBC.
